For our May meeting, the LWVCO Climate Emergency Task Force, we encourage everyone to register for and attend Beyond Plastics‘ presentation "Microplastics‘ Impact on the Brain and Heart" free online. Recent studies have found small fragments of plastics known as microplastics in the human brain and heart arteries and have also shown a link between the presence of microplastics and adverse health outcomes.
Beyond Plastics is an organization dedicated to ending plastic pollution everywhere. For more information, see their website.

President Coleman will speak on the work of the Colorado Racial Equity Study Commission. Ms. Duplessis will discuss the preliminary findings of the Colorado Black Equity Study and its areas of future exploration.
